Callie + Jake

I came out of my December retirement yesterday to shoot a few images for my fab friends Callie and Jake, and their 2008 Christmas cards! It was precisely -8 degrees when I left my house at 8:45 a.m., but we wanted to catch a little glorious morning sunshine. I unfortunately had to once again put my homemade "homeless dude" gloves to the test (homeless dude gloves: old Gap fleece gloves that it was finally time to throw away, but I instead cut all of the fingers off so I could shoot in the winter. Marcia and Zach unfortunately saw this hideous creation as well).

Luckily, Callie and I will be committing some serious retail assault on Wednesday, where I will most likely purchase a normal pair of glittens while stimulating our economy. (Hie-yah!) We're trying to decide between Fox River Mall or bumming down to Mayfair for the day. (I know, such difficult decisions to make.) I'm thinking since we're expecting like 20 more inches of snow this week, we may be going the Appleton route...

Here are a few cute shots from our 10-minutes outside -

Aren't they cute??

Their boy Tyson, who is the biggest sweetheart. He is so much like Parker, it's uncanny!
I think this is his I'm-going-to-kill-you-lady look for making him stand in the cold snow while dangling a treat above my camera.
