Despite Hurricane Ike's best efforts at wedding sabotage, Sally and Javier were married this weekend in a gorgeous setting at Camp Wipigaki in Lac du Flambeau, Wis.! Sally's parents actually live at and run the camp, so various elements of the day's event were located at separate locations on the historic property. And even though the beautiful ceremony setup on the shore of White Sand Lake was poured on, they had an even cooler backup location...the dining hall!
The rain did not dampen even one person's spirits. Their family was so warm and friendly; they immediately made me and Zac feel welcome. Generous relatives transported us in golf carts and vans for rain-safe protection, and through the assistance of so many loved ones, Sally + Javier's day went off without a hitch! As the couple would tell you themselves though, they knew they were meant to be together and nothing would stand in their way...
Hope you had a wonderful time dancing the night away and that you managed to get back to your cabins without getting soaked!!

Wow...You guys are all so beautiful and look like you had an awesome time. So sorry about the rain, but I can see it didn't stop you at all. We wish you much luck on your journey ahead. It's a wonderful thing to get to go through life with your best friend beside you.
