Zac and I ventured out for some fun shooting this weekend just down our street - the city is apparently fixing the dam along the Wisconsin River, and in doing so, has to drain it! It's definitely a strange sight, one which the entire town has been out to see. Normally, we hear tons of boat activity and summer fun taking place, but this weekend was eerily silent with the absence of boat motors, jet skis, etc....
We were actually walking out on the river bed - this isn't a beach!

Here you can see the end of the very long pier that juts about 50 yards into the river.
