Happy Earth Day!

Thinking back to elementary school, I remember hearing, "Earth Day is EVERY Day!" quite often. (Going green is anything but a new trend, since that phrase just totally dated me!) Even though my dogs have nothing to do with helping our environment, I thought I'd share a few shots of Parker and Chomper today!

For those of you who have not met these two little ladies, let me give you a brief synopsis of what's going on here and what goes on many times daily in our home.

Even though Zac and I provide them with at least two Nylabones at all times, they enjoy chewing and swapping bones every three-or-so minutes. It's a classic "the grass is always greener..." thing, mostly provoked by the little white dog whose name describes her so well--Chomper.

They hang out together and gnaw on these bones, almost vibrating the wood floors of our house. Things are fine until about three minutes in, when the jealous one takes notice that the orange dog's bone is looking pretty tasty:

Chomper's "bones" are usually referred to as shanks because she turns each one into a deadly weapon within weeks! LOOK at that thing!

Ultimately, they swap (swap = Chomper steals Parker's bone) and the chewing commences once more. They crack me up! I would never let them know that though...and you know why now that you've seen my little dog's weapon-creating abilities!
